We launched the Bing search engine in May 2009. The Bing search engine helps users overcome search overload and make faster, more informed decisions by providing relevant and personalized search results, expanded search services, and a broad selection of content. We have also enhanced the user interface to bring a richer search experience. The mission of the .bing registry is to lay the ground work for providing consumers and businesses who interact with Microsoft through the .bing registry with a more secure and authentic experience, to protect the Bing brand, and to promote Bing search engine services.

We are assessing the opportunities that a new gTLD has for the delivery of secure communications, products, and services.
