Public domain name registration service follows the ʺfirst-come⁄first-servedʺ principle. Where an organization has disputes concerning the registered domain names, such disputes will be submitted to the dispute resolution institute authorized by .shop Registry subject to the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP).
Explain any cost benefits for registrants you need to implement (e.g. advantageous pricing, introductory discounts, bulk registration discounts).
.shop will price by referring to the market price of certain comparable TLDs in the world while taking the acceptable price of potential users into full account. Users can enjoy certain discount at the introductory phase to facilitate the promotion of .shop. As to the specific discounts, it will be decided according to the market demands. For detailed assumption regarding price point and domain volumes, please refer the answer to Q48 Funding and Revenue
Note that the Registry Agreement requires that registrars be offered the option to obtain initial domain name registrations for periods of one to ten years at the discretion of the registrar, but no greater than ten years. Additionally, the Registry Agreement requires advance written notice of price increases. Do you intend to make contractual commitments to registrants regarding the magnitude of price escalation? If so, please describe your plans.
The magnitude of price increase per year will not be higher than 7% to ensure .shopʹs sustained operation and ability to provide high-quality services to registrars and users. JINGDONG shall inform of the price adjustment to its registrars through various channels of website announcements, news media, emails, etc.
