Verisign, 〈the gTLD applicant〉’s selected backend registry services provider, operates the 〈new string〉 gTLD in compliance with the most recently approved versions of the ICANN IDN Guidelines and RFC application protocol, currently RFC 5891, Internationalized Domain Names in Applications (IDNA 2008).
Bi-directional rules for impacted scripts, outlined in RFC 5893 (Right-to-Left Scripts for IDNA), specify the relevant rules for the 〈new string〉 gTLD.
