e-flux already enjoys the support of a vast international community of individuals, organizations and companies that are active in the art community, with whom e-flux has extensively discussed its plans. This is shown by the vast amount of support letters from leading public and private art institutions as well as noted international artists, critics and curators, received by e-flux, and attached to our response to Question 20.
Established in January 1999 in New York, e-flux is an international network which reaches more than 100,000 visual art professionals on a daily basis through its website, e-mail lists and special projects. Its primary news digest – e-flux announcements – distributes information on some of the worldʹs most important contemporary art exhibitions, publications and symposia. Its Art & Education newsletter offers a similar digest focused on activities at art schools and academies, while its Art-Agenda newsletter covers events at commercial art galleries.
The daily digest is put together in cooperation with nearly two thousand leading international museums, art centers, foundations, galleries, biennials and art journals. e-flux’ focused and selective approach to the information it distributes has been rewarded by an exceptionally high degree of attention and responsiveness from its readers.
